Therapeia: Journal of Christian Psychology and Counseling is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal published by the Christian Psychology Study Programme of Sekolah Tinggi Teologi (STT) REAL Batam, under the coordination of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) of STT REAL Batam. The journal is dedicated to publishing research findings, conceptual studies, and scholarly reflections that integrate contemporary psychology with Christian theological perspectives. It seeks to bridge evidence-based psychological science with a biblical anthropology that understands human beings as an integrated whole of body, soul, and spirit.
The name Therapeia (????????) is derived from the Greek language and carries the meanings of “healing” and “service,” from which the modern term “therapy” is derived. The choice of this name reflects the journal’s vision of bringing together two complementary callings: psychological and clinical healing and pastoral and spiritual care. Through this integration, Therapeia seeks to contribute to the development of Christian psychology and counselling that is academically rigorous, clinically informed, theologically grounded, and attentive to the holistic wellbeing and spiritual formation of human beings.
