Homologia: Journal of Biblical and Theological Studies is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal published by the Master’s Programme in Theology at Sekolah Tinggi Teologi (STT) REAL Batam, under the coordination of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) of STT REAL Batam. The journal provides a scholarly forum for biblical and theological studies at the Master’s level, bridging the descriptive foundations of undergraduate study with the philosophical and systematic depth expected at the doctoral level. It places particular emphasis on the ability to analyse, evaluate, and formulate theological understanding with clarity, critical awareness, and scholarly responsibility. The name Homologia (????????) is derived from the Greek term meaning “confession” or “profession of faith,” literally conveying the sense of “saying the same thing” (Hebrews 4:14; 10:23). Throughout the history of the Church, homologia has provided a theological foundation for the formulation of creeds and confessions through which Christian communities articulate and preserve their doctrinal convictions in clear and accountable ways. The name therefore reflects the journal’s vision of fostering theological scholarship at the Master’s level that moves beyond description towards the critical formulation and responsible articulation of mature theological understanding. Homologia welcomes contributions from Master’s students, lecturers, pastors, church leaders, and theological practitioners from STT REAL Batam and other institutions nationally and internationally. Submissions should demonstrate postgraduate-level analytical depth, engagement with relevant scholarly literature and primary sources where appropriate, methodological clarity, and a meaningful contribution to biblical and theological scholarship.
