About the Journal

THECRED: Proceedings of the Theology Conference and Religious Education Dialogue is a peer-reviewed, continuing conference proceedings series published by Sekolah Tinggi Teologi REAL Batam (STT REAL Batam), Indonesia. As part of its institutional academic program, STT REAL Batam regularly organizes conferences, national seminars, and academic symposia, each addressing a distinct thematic focus. THECRED serves as the official and continuing publication platform for selected papers presented at these recurring scholarly events, whether organized independently by or in partnership with STT REAL Batam.

The proceedings covers the fields of theology, biblical studies, Christian religious education, Christian ethics, pastoral theology, missiology, and interdisciplinary studies at the intersection of theology with the social sciences, philosophy, and cultural studies. Each issue of THECRED corresponds to a specific conference event, and the thematic focus of each edition reflects the particular subject of its corresponding conference; nevertheless, all issues belong to a single, continuing proceedings series.

THECRED is published following each conference event, with a target of two issues per year (May and November), reflecting the ongoing conference program of STT REAL Batam. All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process to ensure scholarly quality and integrity. The editorial process adheres to the publication ethics guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

The proceedings operates under a full open access policy. All published articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which permits anyone to read, download, copy, distribute, and adapt the published work, provided that appropriate credit is given to the author(s) and the original source.

The inaugural issue of THECRED was published in May 2026.
