Abstract

The rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has significantly reshaped theological education, biblical interpretation, and church ministry. On the one hand, AI supports biblical research, sermon preparation, and digital ministry; on the other hand, it raises critical questions about the authority of the Word of God and the role of the Holy Spirit. This study examines AI from a Pentecostal theological perspective, which regards AI as an instrument rather than the primary source of truth. The research employs a qualitative approach, combining a literature review with theological analysis of scholarly works on artificial intelligence, digital theology, and Pentecostal theology. The findings indicate that AI is beneficial as a supportive tool for ministry; however, it lacks spirit, moral consciousness, and the capacity to receive divine revelation. Consequently, AI cannot replace the authority of the Word of God or the work of the Holy Spirit. This study proposes the concept of Spirit-Guided Artificial Intelligence, advocating the responsible use of AI under the authority of Scripture and the guidance of the Holy Spirit as an ethical foundation for church ministry in the digital age.
