Abstract

Social media has become an important part of adolescents' lives, but its use also presents various ethical challenges and psychosocial risks, such as cyberbullying, digital addiction, and compromised psychological well-being. Adolescents, who are in a critical stage of identity and moral formation, require appropriate guidance in navigating the complexities of digital spaces. This Community Service (PKM) activity, conducted at SMTK Mardhi Wacana Alor, aims to enhance students' understanding of Christian ethics and the impact of social media, as well as to cultivate critical and values-driven digital literacy. The method used is interactive education through lectures, discussions, case studies, simulated ethical decision-making in social media contexts, and guided collective reflection. The activity was conducted from September 29 to October 3, 2025, involving 30 students as the primary participants. The evaluation results showed that the PKM activity received an excellent rating, with high scores in material comprehension, relevance, and the perceived benefits of applying Christian ethics to social media use. This counseling demonstrated promising effectiveness in fostering students' critical awareness of the impact of social media and strengthening their moral and spiritual responsibility in digital practices. This activity affirms the potential of integrating Christian ethics and digital literacy as a strategic approach to adolescent character formation in the digital era.

Abstrak

Media sosial telah menjadi bagian penting dalam kehidupan remaja, namun penggunaannya juga menghadirkan berbagai tantangan etis dan risiko psikososial, seperti cyberbullying, kecanduan digital, dan gangguan kesejahteraan psikologis. Remaja berada pada fase krusial pembentukan identitas dan nilai moral, sehingga membutuhkan pendampingan yang tepat dalam menghadapi kompleksitas ruang digital. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa SMTK Mardhi Wacana Alor mengenai etika Kristen dan dampak media sosial, serta menumbuhkan literasi digital yang kritis dan berkarakter. Metode yang digunakan adalah penyuluhan dan edukasi interaktif melalui ceramah, diskusi, studi kasus, simulasi pengambilan keputusan etis dalam bermedia sosial, serta refleksi kolektif terbimbing. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada 29 September - 03 Oktober 2025 dengan melibatkan 30 siswa sebagai peserta utama. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan PKM memperoleh penilaian sangat baik, dengan skor tinggi pada aspek pemahaman materi, relevansi, dan manfaat penerapan etika Kristen dalam praktik bermedia sosial. Penyuluhan ini menunjukkan efektivitas yang menjanjikan dalam menumbuhkan kesadaran kritis siswa terhadap dampak media sosial serta memperkuat tanggung jawab moral dan spiritual dalam praktik digital. Kegiatan ini meneguhkan potensi integrasi etika Kristen dan literasi digital sebagai pendekatan strategis dalam pembinaan karakter remaja di era digital.
