EDITORIAL AND PUBLICATION TIMELINE

To ensure transparency, academic integrity, and theological rigor, Diegesis: Jurnal Teologi Pentakosta Kharismatika implements a structured editorial and double-blind peer review process. The timeline below provides an estimated overview of each stage. The duration may vary depending on reviewer availability, the quality of the manuscript, and the extent of revisions required.

1. Initial Editorial Screening (1–2 Weeks)

All submitted manuscripts are first evaluated by the editorial board to assess their conformity with the journal’s focus and scope, author guidelines, formatting standards, and basic methodological soundness. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be returned to the authors for technical revision or declined at this stage.

2. Double-Blind Peer Review Process (3–8 Weeks)

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are forwarded to independent reviewer(s) under a double-blind peer review system. Reviewers assess the manuscript’s originality, theological contribution, methodological rigor, clarity of argumentation, engagement with relevant literature, and relevance to Pentecostal-Charismatic studies.

Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the Editor-in-Chief will issue one of the following decisions:

  • Accept

  • Minor Revision

  • Major Revision

  • Resubmit for Review

  • Reject

3. Revision Stage (2–6 Weeks)

Authors are required to submit the revised manuscript within the specified timeframe. Minor revisions are generally expected within 1–3 weeks, while major revisions may require 3–6 weeks. Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers for further evaluation when deemed necessary by the editor.

4. Final Editorial Decision (1–3 Weeks)

After the revised manuscript has been assessed, the editorial team will issue a final decision regarding acceptance or rejection. The decision will be communicated formally to the corresponding author.

5. Production and Publication

Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting, layout editing, and proofreading. Authors will receive page proofs for final review and approval before publication. Once finalized, the article will be scheduled for publication in the forthcoming issue of the journal.

Estimated Total Processing Time

The overall process from submission to publication generally takes approximately 2–4 months. However, this timeline may vary depending on reviewer response times, the extent of revisions required, and the journal’s publication schedule.

The editorial team of Diegesis: Jurnal Teologi Pentakosta Kharismatika is committed to maintaining a fair, timely, and rigorous peer-review system in order to uphold high academic and theological standards.
