PUBLICATION ETHICS
For Authors
- Accuracy:
Authors must present original, accurate, and honest work that reflects accountable data. Misleading presentation or false statements are considered serious ethical violations according to COPE standards. - Originality:
Each submitted work must be original. Authors are required to properly cite other sources and are prohibited from committing plagiarism. The journal mandates the use of plagiarism detection software to ensure the originality of submissions. - Duplicate Submission:
Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously is prohibited. The journal enforces a strict policy regarding duplicate publications in accordance with COPE guidelines. - Acknowledgment:
All sources, references, and collaborators must be properly acknowledged. Clear and transparent acknowledgment practices ensure academic integrity and protect copyright in line with international standards. - Conflict of Interest:
Authors are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may affect the integrity of their research and the reported outcomes, as stipulated by COPE policies. - Errors in Published Work:
If errors or inaccuracies are discovered after publication, authors must promptly inform the editor to make corrections or retractions in accordance with COPE policies.
For Editors
- Publication Decision:
Editors are responsible for deciding which articles to publish based on rigorous peer review and the relevance and quality of the manuscripts. These decisions should be based on the journal's editorial policy and scientific standards. - Fairness:
Editors ensure that manuscripts are evaluated fairly, based on scientific content without regard to the authors' backgrounds (such as race, gender, religion, ethnicity, or institutional affiliation), in accordance with internationally recognized non-discrimination principles. - Confidentiality:
Editors and editorial staff must maintain the confidentiality of all information related to submitted manuscripts. They may not disclose details of the manuscripts to anyone other than the parties involved, unless authorized by the authors, as per COPE standards. - Conflict of Interest:
Unpublished materials in submitted manuscripts must not be used for the editor's research or for personal gain without written permission from the authors. If the editor has a conflict of interest, the manuscript should be referred to another editor.
For Reviewers
- Contribution to Decisions:
Reviewers play a critical role in assisting editors with publication decisions and providing constructive feedback for manuscript improvement. All recommendations should be based on objective academic evaluations. - Objectivity:
The peer review process must be conducted objectively, with clear arguments and constructive input. Personal criticism of the authors is not allowed, in accordance with international ethical standards. - Confidentiality:
Manuscripts under review are confidential documents, and reviewers must not share or discuss their content with others without the editor's permission. - Conflict of Interest:
Reviewers must decline to review manuscripts in which they have a conflict of interest, whether due to shared institutional affiliation or collaborative relationships with the authors.
Publisher Responsibilities
- Maintaining Editorial Independence:
Publishers must ensure that editorial decisions are made independently, without interference from commercial interests such as advertising or sponsorship, ensuring that scientific content is unaffected by non-academic interests. - Ensuring Ethical Compliance:
Publishers are responsible for ensuring that all published articles adhere to applicable ethical standards, as per COPE guidelines, to maintain scientific quality and intellectual honesty. - Supporting Transparency and Integrity:
Publishers support transparency throughout the publication process, from peer review to final publication, and encourage honest and accountable scientific practices. - Protecting Intellectual Property Rights:
Publishers safeguard authors' copyright and intellectual property rights in accordance with applicable legal regulations, ensuring that authors' rights remain protected during and after the publication process.
