Author Guidelines

Author Guidelines for DIEGESIS: Jurnal Teologi Pentakosta Kharismatika

Manuscript Requirements:

  • The manuscript must be the author's original work and not previously published or submitted to other journals, magazines, or publishers.
  • The submitted manuscript should be a scientific article, either based on field research or literature review.
  • Manuscripts can be written in Indonesian or English.
  • Articles that are not accepted for publication will not be returned unless requested by the author.

Writing Format:

  • The manuscript length is between 4,500–6,000 words (excluding the references) with 1.5 line spacing, written in Microsoft Word.
  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt, spacing before and after 0 pt, on A4 paper size.
  • Margins: top 2.5 cm, left 2.7 cm, right 2.5 cm, bottom 2.5 cm.
  • Manuscripts must be submitted through the OJS (Open Journal System) as a soft-copy file.

Writing Structure:

  • Title: Written in uppercase, bold, and centered using Times New Roman, 14 pt.
  • Author's Name: Placed below the title without academic titles, along with affiliation and email.
  • Abstract: Written in both Indonesian and English, containing 150–200 words, covering the problem, objectives, methods, results, and conclusion.
  • Keywords: 3–5 keywords in both Indonesian and English.
  • Content Structure: Consists of Introduction, Research Method, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, and References.
    • Introduction: Background of the problem, previous research, research objectives, and the article's uniqueness.
    • Research Method: Explains the methods used and the research variables.
    • Results and Discussion: Presents findings and analysis, supported by relevant data.
    • Conclusion: Written in 1–2 paragraphs summarizing findings, limitations, and opportunities for further research.
  • References: At least 80% from primary sources (books, journals, proceedings), using Turabian Style 8th Edition (full note) and managed with Mendeley.

Additional Instructions:

  • Articles must be neatly typed on A4-sized paper.
  • The language used must be proper and correct, either in Indonesian or English.
  • Article length should be 10–20 pages.
  • The front page must include the article title, author's name, affiliation, email, and abstract in both languages.
  • The title should be in uppercase, centered, bold, using Times New Roman, 14 pt.
  • Each table or figure must be numbered and given a clear title using Times New Roman, 12 pt.
  • References should be listed alphabetically according to Turabian Style 8th Edition (full note). Articles that do not comply will be returned for correction. Authors are responsible for the accuracy of reference data.
  • The use of Mendeley for reference management is mandatory.
  • Turnitin similarity check must not exceed 20%.

 

All submitted manuscripts will be reviewed by reviewers according to their area of expertise. Authors must revise according to the feedback from reviewers or editors.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
