Peer Review Process

Real Kiddos: Jurnal Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini applies a rigorous peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and relevance of each published article in the field of early childhood education. All submitted manuscripts will go through the following stages:

1. Initial Screening

The editorial team will evaluate each manuscript for its relevance to the journal’s focus and scope, adherence to author guidelines, and the completeness of manuscript elements (such as abstract, references, and academic structure).
Manuscripts that do not meet these basic criteria may be returned to the author for revision or rejected at this stage.

2. Double-Blind Peer Review

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening will be sent to at least two reviewers for a double-blind peer review, in which both author and reviewer identities are concealed.
Reviewers will assess manuscripts based on originality, relevance to early childhood education, theoretical foundation, methodology, data analysis, and clarity of presentation.

3. Reviewer Feedback

Reviewers provide constructive comments and recommendations, leading to one of the following editorial decisions:

  • Accepted: Suitable for publication with minor or no revision.
  • Minor Revision: Requires small improvements before publication.
  • Major Revision: Requires substantial changes and possibly re-review.
  • Rejected: Does not meet journal standards or is outside the journal's scope.

4. Editorial Decision

Based on the reviewers’ feedback, the editorial team will make the final decision on the manuscript. Authors will be notified of the decision along with the reviewers’ comments for revision if necessary.

5. Submission of Revisions

Authors are expected to revise the manuscript according to reviewers’ suggestions and resubmit it within the given deadline. Failure to submit the revision without prior notice may be considered a withdrawal.

6. Final Review

Upon receiving the revised manuscript, the editorial team will conduct a final review to ensure that all feedback has been properly addressed before proceeding to publication.
